Hi, I’m Riyah!
Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by.
About The Blog
Riyah Speaks is a self-care and wellness blog that helps young women learn and practice how to lead more fulfilling and happier lives. I provide help on how women can learn self-love, self-care, and positivity in their daily lives.
Riyah Speaks started as a general lifestyle blog, but slowly and surely, I found my passion for self-care through my online interactions with other young women. I scraped my lifestyle blog and started the self-care blog from scratch to devote my work to helping young women.
I started my blogging journey as someone who wanted to make a name for herself, but now I want to use my skills to help young women who are just like me.
I started Riyah Speaks with the idea of connecting with other young women who struggled with self-care and self-love but found a way to find light in the darkness. I wanted to offer tips for different self-care practices, self-love tips, and share positive stories and quotes to keep them motivated.

I’m an aspiring Digital Marketer, soon-to-be Master’s Degree holder, and self-care blogger. I am a survivor of suicide due to declining mental health and live every day to the best of my abilities. My life goal is to find happiness and to share that feeling with loved ones. Self-care and wellness are near and dear to my heart because it’s what helped me overcome my darkest moments while studying for my Bachelor’s Degree.
I decided to start blogging in July 2020 after being forced to quarantine due to the Coronavirus pandemic. I wanted to find new ways to showcase my love for digital marketing while promoting something that I am passionate about, and I knew that I didn’t want to return to retail work.
I’m a Human First
While I love writing and helping young women, taking care of myself is my number one priority.
I’m blessed to be soon graduating with my Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing and Analytics, especially after dealing with external stress and managing my depression and anxiety.
While I’m in school, I focus on the best and most unique ways to put my marketing skills to the test. However, at night and when I’m not studying, I am here to help young women take care of themselves, love themselves, and be positive.
Learning to care for and love yourself is difficult, but not impossible. Let’s go through this self-care journey together!
