One of the things I love most about being a blogger is meeting and connecting with other bloggers from all over the world. For this post, I am taking a break from Mental Health Awareness Month to discuss my top 3 favorite places to visit in NYC.
This week’s post is part of a more significant collaboration created and inspired by Bee, a blogger from the lifestyle blog Mind, Beauty, Simplicity.
Places Around The World Collaboration Intro
Bee asked a group of bloggers, including myself, to share the top three places we love to visit in our hometowns. With the pandemic slowly dying, many people are itching to travel to new places and experience new adventures. This collaboration is a fun way to spark an interest in traveling for those interested in doing so soon.
There is so much to see and explore in the world. Bee Created this challenge for bloggers to get together to showcase the best parts of their hometowns and favorite activities.
So, without further ado, here are my top 3 favorite places in NYC.
My Top 3 Favorite Places In NYC
Beatstro, a Hip Hop Restaurant in the South Bronx
First, let me tell you that food makes me happy. But any place that plays great music makes me more comfortable. Beatstro is a small, popular Hip-Hop restaurant in the South Bronx. I love Beatstro and have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while. I follow them on Instagram and have seen how busy the place is. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff is friendly.
Their food selection is small for a well-known restaurant but packs a punch once eaten. The club vibes you get when you walk near the restaurant make the restaurant more special for me. Likewise, the music pays homage to the birth of hip-hop, its artists, and what’s hot today in music.
Most importantly, if you’re a hip-hop lover and want to support a black-owned restaurant, then this is the place you must go to.
The Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most popular tourist spots in the city. I love it because of its iconic status. In addition, the Brooklyn Bridge is in a few of my favorite films, such as Sex and the City, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Enchanted.
The scenery at the Brooklyn Bridge is breathtaking, making it an excellent place for taking photos or having a creative photoshoot. It’s also one of my favorite places to visit with friends or to get some alone time.
If you’re ever looking for an Instagrammable place in NYC, the Brooklyn Bridge is the place to visit.
Bryant Park
Everyone knows about Central Park, but no one ever talks about Bryant Park. Personally, Bryant Park is much better than Central Park for many reasons. For starters, the park has fantastic vibes. In addition, musicians, artists, B-Boys, and other performers always showcase their talents.
You can do so much at Bryant Park, such as taking a stroll on the paths, sitting by the water fountain, eating a small lunch at the many food and beverage places, or shopping in the nearby small stores.
Local park committees and government organizations tend to hold many free events throughout the year, such as tours, clean-up days, and small concerts, where people can support local artists and vendors.
You cannot forget to visit Bryant Park before traveling back home.

The Coronavirus Pandemic has left many of us itching to travel again. As the restrictions slowly continue to be lifted, now is the time to explore the world and experience new adventures.

NY is about 3-4 hours from me and I have never been there. It’s somewhere that I always wanted to travel to. I am an outdoors person who loves parks. I would love to visit Bryant Park. Thank you for sharing this place with us. You are right everyone always talks about Central Park.

The only time I’ve been to NYC was to see a musical, but the Brooklyn Bridge is my #1 thing I want to do next time I visit. It’s so beautiful, and I can completely understand why you would visit for some alone time.

I enjoyed my time in Brooklyn. I enjoyed all the small mom and pop shops. I have driving on the Brooklyn bridge but never walked on the bridge. Hopefully soon I can visit again.
It would help if you visited again, and next time walk on the bridge because it has a really nice view.
My dream is to visit NYC and fully experience the city’s magic. I hope someday, once it’s safe again, I can check out all the amazing places you shared.
