I love using self-love journal prompts. Self-love journaling is a powerful practice that allows you to become self-aware and reflect on who you are. When journaling for self-love, reflecting on who you are, what you want, and how to love yourself better is essential. The journey of self-love is never-ending, so I’m sharing these 25 Fall-themed self-love journal prompts.
With these self-love journal prompts, you can focus on learning how to better love and care for yourself. Self-love is important because it helps you make healthier choices and learn to accept yourself for who you are. Self-love means getting your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wants and putting those emotions first. Self-love journal prompts help you realize areas of your life where you lack self-love and address them.
With that said, I decided to share these self-love journal prompts, and since it’s the beginning of Fall, these will be fall-themed self-love journal prompts. But before I get into this, I want to share some tips for journaling.
Tips for Journaling Daily
- Be consistent with your journaling: Make it part of your daily routine by doing it when you wake up in the morning or before you fall asleep at night.
- Find a journal format that works for you: Many kinds of journaling exist. First, find the journaling style that works best for you. Below is a list of the different journaling types.
- Traditional Diary
- Bullet Journal
- Scrapbooking
- List Journaling
- One Line a Day
- Set Realistic Journaling Goals: If you’re new to journaling, you should set realistic goals for which you can be accountable. For example, maybe plan to write once daily for 10 minutes and gradually increase the time. On the other hand, don’t aim for something unrealistic, three times a day or only at 5:00 p.m.
Suppose you are new to the journaling journey. In that case, I recommend purchasing a dotted notebook like this one and pens that won’t bleed through the pages.
Now, let’s get into the 25 fall-themed self-love journal prompts.

Nons,
I love this. Journaling is such a powerful reflection tool. Enjoy the prompts.
I keep a Gratitude Journal and although I don’t write in it every day, I aim for around 3 x per week. Sadly, I’m not an Autumn fan, I’m a Summer girl, but that said, I like your suggestion of treating myself to something cozy for the season – good tip and lovely prompts, Riyah!
Lisa,
I’m a summer girl too! But, I do enjoy certain things about the fall season. Enjoy the prompts.
Fab suggestions! I really need to work on being more consistent with my journaling, and these will definitely help. I really love the sound of 6 and 19 in particular. Thanks for sharing x
Hi,
Consistency is difficult, especially when life is throwing so much at you. I aim for at least once a week on Saturdays.
These journal prompts sound really good, I’m going to write some down for when I need it x

Hi! Thanks so much, enjoy the prompts.
These are great tips. I was really down last weekend and wrote a gratitude list actually. I found it helped to lift my spirits a great deal. It reminded me that I have a lot more going for me than it might seem like at times.
Hi Mercedes! I definitely agree, gratitude lists are a great way to not only lift your spirit but to help put life into perspective. Enjoy these journal prompts.
Lovely prompts! Definitely something to get us into the Autumn spirit and slow down to be more with ourselves.

Melanie,
Let me know what you think of these posts.
This is so much fun and you’ve included some GREAT prompts on your list. The one that really stood out for me was the one that referred to boundaries that we need to set this season. I am SO bad about setting appropriate boundaries, so that’s a great reminder that I need to make them a priority.
I journal daily and it have for a couple of months now, and I definitely find it helpful. However I had never considered using prompts and answering questions, but I love the idea! After reading your list, I can see how it would be quite helpful, and a way to get to know myself a little better as I go through it. I’m definitely saving this list to give them a try!
