6 Ways Spring Clean Your Home Right Now
Spring is the perfect time to refresh your home and mind with a thorough cleaning. Check out these tips and tricks for an efficient and effective spring cleaning.

It’s Springtime again, which only means one thing- it’s time for a Spring clean!
A Spring clean is necessary at this time of year. It lets you take note of your surroundings, eliminate anything that no longer brings you value, and start the new season in a productive and transparent state of mind.
There’s nothing worse than trying to work or study surrounded by untidy surfaces and clutter. It can affect our mental health and lead to low productivity and energy.
If you want to start the new season with a fresh and clean living space, I’ve put together 6 ways to give your home a proper Spring clean.
How To Spring Clean Your Home
1. Declutter
One of the best ways to give your home a Spring clean is to declutter! Get rid of anything you don’t like, need or want anymore. This could be books, clothes, toys, old-school papers, college notes, accessories, kitchenware, and more! The list is endless.
If you’re decluttering, remember always to do it sustainably. There are so many places that would love your old clutter. Give anything that isn’t broken to your local thrift store, or try to sell it online yourself.
This will make your life less cluttered and your home cleaner- and you’ll also be doing some good for the planet. You might even make some money from your old bits and pieces.
Throwing items in the trash should be your last resort. Before throwing them away, you can look online to see if there’s anywhere that wants your clutter. You might be surprised!
2. Clear out your kitchen cupboards
Chances are you have a lot of old food and expired items in your kitchen. Sometimes, you buy more food than you need or skip a certain meal, and the ingredients are wasted.
The freezer is the worst culprit, and there’s always something shoved at the back, taking up room!
If this is the case for you, use your Spring cleaning time to clear your kitchen. Throw away any food that is no longer safe to eat, and take any food you no longer want to your local donation center or food bank.
3. Clear out your digital devices
One of the best ways to give your home a Spring clean this year is to clear out your digital devices. Get rid of any apps you don’t need anymore, and work out how everyone in your household can spend less time on their phones and more time with each other.
Digital minimalism is fast becoming a popular way to prepare for new seasons. It’s a great way to declutter your life and spend more time doing what matters.

4. Open those windows!
Whether you’re currently Spring cleaning or not, opening your windows is a great way to let some fresh air into your home. Something about allowing air to circulate in your home makes everything feel better.
If you’re using many strong cleaning products, opening your windows is also necessary. Bleach and other products can have strong fumes you and your family shouldn’t inhale. Opening the windows is also a fun way to romanticize your everyday life!
5. Give your home a proper clean
How often do you give your home a proper clean? I’m not talking about a quick vacuum or dusting some surfaces, but a proper cleaning in every room. Bleach the bathroom until it’s sparkling, and disinfect all the surfaces until they’re brand new.
It is important to keep your home sanitary and hygienic- and knowing your home is immaculate and tidy will also boost your mood. Cleaning your home from top to bottom can also be an excellent way to practice seasonal spring self-care.

6. Explore storage options
If you want your Spring clean to go further, explore storage options! More storage means less clutter on the floor or shelves. Putting items in cupboards or external storage allows you to keep some of your favorite things without always having them out.
Try to be more economical with your space in closets, cabinets, and drawers, and you’ll find that your home stays clean and tidy even after Spring!

Finding ways to give your home a Spring clean could be the perfect way to boost your productivity this year.
Get rid of physical and digital clutter to improve your focus, and find ways to spend less time on your technological devices this Spring.

I feel like I’m spring cleaning everyday. Thanks for reading.
I do need to go through my phone and laptop and delete stuff I don’t need. Games I played and I didn’t like/finished playing already, temporary files like tickets downloads or screenshots… it always takes SO much time and I am lazy. thankfully this year I don’t really need to declutter my home because we have already did when we moved and now we are minimalistic and fresh. I do want to keep it that way
Having the home minimalistic and fresh is so nice, especially as the weather becomes nicer. I admit that I have a lot of screenshots that need to be deleted.
I have been itching to do some spring cleaning! I’m ready for the weather to start warming up and I can really get moving with this project.
