Celebrate my birthday with me as I reflect on the abundant blessings in my life. Discover the heartfelt list of 110 things I am grateful for this year and embrace the joy of gratitude.

I know. You’re tired of hearing about my Birthday! I cannot help that I am so excited to turn 24. As I get older, I’ve realized the importance of celebrating the more minor things in life and learning to be grateful. It’s always important to find time to practice gratitude. It teaches us to appreciate what is before us and think more positively. So for today’s blog post, I’ve decided to share 110 things I am grateful for going into my birthday. But before I do that, I want to talk about gratitude a bit.
What is Gratitude?
Gratitude is a positive and feel-good emotion that focuses on ways to be present and appreciate what’s in front of us. It’s learning to recognize when something good happens in everyday life. Gratitude is one of my favorite forms of self-care. I’ve mentioned this in a previous post, but it’s true.
Tips For Being Grateful
Building a grateful habit takes time. However, you can practice gratitude by embedding it into daily morning or night routines. There are many different ways to practice gratitude. Some of my favorite ways of practicing gratitude include the following:
- Journaling: Writing out what you are grateful for at the end or beginning of each day to help you process your thoughts
- Meditation: Calming your mind and body down and using this time to be in the present
- Writing a Grateful List
- Saying Thank You to someone for giving you something

Why Do I Practice Gratitude?
As someone who suffers from Major Depression and Anxiety, I practice gratitude to focus my mind and remind myself that everything will be okay. As humans, we take everything for granted. Gratitude teaches us to keep looking forward and generally makes us feel happier.
Is there anything on my list that you’re grateful for? Let me know in the comments.

it’s actually crazy how much small things in life matter! i wish you a very happy bday, lots of smiles, good vibes and positivity!
Thank you so much!
Lovely post! I think it’s really important to promote positivity so this is really great to read! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading. I agree that promoting positivity is important.
Happy birthday Riyah!! What an amazing gratitude list! Thank you for sharing! Your list has reminded me of some of the things I’m grateful for. It always amazes me how much I have to be thankful for. No matter how bad I feel, if I sit down and start looking for things to be grateful for, there are plenty.
That’s right! I can totally relate to this. Whenever I feel sad, I think about all of the things I have to be thankful for.
Wonderful gratitude list, Seriah! I try to practice gratitude as much as I can, I also find it helps a lot with my depression and anxiety! I’d love to see more blogs on this subject in the future. Happy ALMOST birthday!
I’m working on future gratitude posts ? I also find that practicing gratitude has helped with my depression and anxiety.
I love this extensive and quirky gratitude list! The smallest things, like home cooked meals and seasonal changes, clean sheets and hot chocolate, make all the difference in making our shadowy days shine.
Happy birthday! 🙂
Yes, they do! And, thank you so much.
Hi, thanks for sharing your gratitude list! You are grateful for so many wonderful things! Have a happy birthday ?.
Thank you so much!
Love how you mentioned smallest to big things in this list! And we should take time to celebrate and be grateful for all things in life, and birthday times are one of the best times to do it. Happy birthday in advance!
Thank you for the warm wishes. I love doing this type of thing around my birthday, and you’re right. It’s the best time to be grateful.
I love this list- especially the fact that you have ‘deep’ things like family, and then ‘stupid’ things like your macbook. I’m so grateful for modern appliances and technology! I mean dishwashers? It’s such a basic thing for a lot of us, but when it breaks, you feel it!

I totally agree, sometimes we forget to appreciate the little things in life until we lose it.
