August 2021 Monthly Blog Review

Did you accomplish your monthly goals? I did not, but that’s okay. Check out how the blog performed in this monthly blog review.

I didn’t get to scratch off much of my summer bucket list, which is why I’m looking forward to September and the fall season, but it seems like I’m not the only one. But I will discuss why I’m looking forward to the fall season later in this monthly blog review. 

I focused on the back-to-school season, productivity, and summer this month. Since this is the first time children and college students will return to in-person classes since 2019, I figured this would be the best time to offer advice. Before diving deep into how this month went, let’s review how I performed in this monthly blog review.

August Monthly Blog Review

This month was a bit slow, and the traffic dipped slightly, but I believe the traffic will increase in the next several months because of the Holiday season. I’m already preparing for that, so I look forward to what that looks like.

Monthly Blog Review

This month I started working on future services, blog posts, and influencer collaborations for the holiday season. Unfortunately, this left me no time to promote my articles, which may be why my traffic dropped. I’ll talk about this dip soon, but first, let’s review some blog stats.

Sales Review

This month I reached my sales goal and made slightly more than expected on Etsy and the shop. Since people are already searching for Fall, Halloween, and Christmas gifts, I uploaded these items earlier in August. This led to a slight increase in traffic and increased sales. Next month, I will continue focusing on seasonal items with positive messages. 

Most Sold Product 

My most sold  Etsy product for August was the Live, Love, Laugh empowerment candle which comes in various scents. This candle encourages people to be kinder to themselves and learn how to feel more empowered. My most sold item on the blog was the self-care workbook bundle, which I recently launched in July.

Major Wins

Although my traffic dropped this month, I saw increased sales on Etsy and the blog, which means that people are interested in what I offer. One of the sales strategies I used to garner these sales was to consistently cross-promote on all social media platforms so that people would always see it. It worked in my favor. 

September Blogging Theme

For September, I decided to share tips, advice, and content surrounding the Fall season. Now that it’s upon us and the holidays will soon be here, I think it’s time to put away the bathing suit and starter grinding this season. Most of the content on the blog will be about Fall, things to love about Fall, or ways to stay healthy this Fall. In addition, there will be a few promotional articles this month. 

My September Goals

• Make more than $300 in sales total 
• Hit 4K blog traffic
• Make sales in affiliate marketing
• Get advertisers for October
