There is a lot to discuss in this monthly blog review. I love summer. It’s one of my favorite seasons. I love spending time outdoors, going to a barbeque, the beach, and pools, and going on weekend getaways to romantic resorts. Also, I love seasonal change because it inspires and motivates me to be more productive when working on myself. So, in honor of the season, I spent some time fixing bugs on the blog and making some changes, which I’m sure you’ve noticed. But, if not, I will discuss these changes in this monthly blog review.
This month, I decided to make summer my blogging theme. So, all of the posts I’ve written for July are centered around practicing self-love, self-care, and maintaining a positive attitude while enjoying the summer. But before I get into these changes, let’s go over how the blog performed this month in this monthly blog review.

July Monthly Blog Review
This month I focused on the blog’s backend and tweaked a few things to improve the site’s performance. Ironically, my blog views went up 1,000 from last month, despite the decrease in the promotion. I think part of this involves buying ad slots on other blogs and hiring a Pinterest manager to help me. I’ll talk more about this in a bit.
So, here is how Riyah Speaks performed this month.
Blog Stats
- Sales Revenue:
- Etsy: $112.50
- Pageviews: 3.82K
- Number of Email Subscribers: 53
- FB Followers: 214
- FB Likes: 194
- IG Followers: 613
- Pinterest Views: 79K
- Pinterest Followers: 599
Although I didn’t promote my newest blog posts as much, overall website traffic increased. Part of this is because I hired a Pinterest Manager and brought ad slots on some blogs. This allowed me to put more time into fixing site bugs and less time stressing out.

Sales Review
This month I made slightly less than expected. I promoted all of my products on social media as I usually would. Maybe, people were just not as interested in my creations this month. I will add my stuff to my Etsy inventory and see if that will help with next month’s selling goals.
Most Sold Product
This month, my most sold product was the self-care wall art, poster print, and my newest Etsy listing. I added this listing after Independence Day, and it’s been performing well since. I will create a few more posters and t-shirt prints next month.
Major Wins
My biggest wins were increasing my blog traffic and creating time to fix major bugs. At the beginning of July, I hired Sarah from sarahmarie.blog to create pins and run my monthly account. She redid all my Pinterest boards for an affordable price and created and scheduled click-worthy pins. Her efforts have increased my monthly Pinterest views on my account and overall traffic. I recommend checking out her management services, pin creation, and packages if you haven’t already!
Not focusing on Pinterest freed up time for fixing the bugs on the blog, which allowed me to reopen the Shop on riyahspeaks.com, where I plan to sell digital self-care, self-love, and productivity digital products such as workbooks, printables, planners, and more. August Blogging Theme
August is back-to-school season, which is what I’m focusing on this upcoming month. I have a few summer-themed guest posts and some promotional content, but everything will focus on back-to-school and the fall season.
My August Goals
- Make more than $200 in Etsy Sales
- Sell $50 in digital products
- Hit 5k monthly blog views
- Schedule September posts
