April 2022 Monthly Blog Review

Did you accomplish all your monthly goals? I think I did. Check out how Riyah Speaks performed in the latest monthly blog review.

There’s a lot to talk about in this monthly blog review. Have you ever felt like too much was happening at once? Well, I do. April was a rough month because I had to learn how to balance my blogging, career, and social lives to accommodate the recent changes in my personal life, and let me tell you, it’s not easy.

I decided to recruit some blogging friends and hired some people to help me manage my blog during these difficult times. It’s lovely to be part of a community that genuinely cares about you and is willing to help when life becomes challenging.

I truly appreciate everyone who is helping me. However, before I start thanking these individuals, let’s review my monthly blog.

April 2022 Monthly Blog Review

Since discovering that my father has cancer, I’ve halted my social media promotions and blogging tasks. I wanted to spend this last month figuring out how to cope with my emotions, manage the blog, work, have a social life, and still manage my overall mental health.

With that said, there was a dramatic dip in my overall blog and social media performance. However, I am not worried about it because I know this likely has to do with my lack of online presence this month.

Celebrating Monthly Wins

This month I find it much more difficult to celebrate my successes. With everything going on in my personal life, I haven’t had the chance to sit down and think about what I accomplished this month.

I wanted to take a moment to pat myself on the back. Even though I didn’t do as well as I hoped, I still have much to celebrate. I started this new section in my monthly blog reviews to encourage and gain self-confidence in my abilities as a blogger and in my personal life.

Here are some of my small wins for April

  • I got my CPR Certification from the Red Cross
  • I learned how to come back from a panic and anxiety attack
  • I took a necessary break to learn how to cope with my dad having cancer emotionally
  • I came up with a plan for how to manage the blog with my personal life
  • Did another part of my life coaching certification
  • I had a breakthrough in therapy

What To Expect In May

Mental health is a huge passion of mine. One of the biggest reasons I started this blog was to create a conversation around mental health and wellness, particularly among younger women. In addition, May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which means all of my posts will be about mental health.

I will be vulnerable with you this May, so please be patient and compassionate when reading my stories. Also, please read the trigger warnings before reading particular posts. I will share exclusive mental health tips with my email subscribers in May and have many mental health freebies. If you’re not subscribed, make sure to do so.

Did you accomplish your monthly goals? Let me know in the comments.
